My first exposure to "feeding" was Diablo 4 Gold through Fate/Grand Order, which was initially released from Japan in July of 2015. In the case of Raiden Shogun and Kokomi characters that were reruns in March 2022 alone netted the company over $33 million in revenue.

The moment was immortalized through humorous memes and mockery, the majority of which was rooted in disappointing expectations of the public: Fans attending BlizzCon 2018 were expecting "Diablo 4" news. It also stemmed from an unresolved stigma surrounding smartphones and games played in the West which is where the adoption of smartphones as gaming platforms has been slower than cheap Diablo IV Gold in the other regions in the rest of the world.
